Family trips to Disney. Spring break Caribbean getaways and cruises. Then came college, when I had the opportunity to live in both Italy and France — and spent every chance I got exploring wherever I could reach from there.
Being immersed in other cultures changed the way I travel. I learned the difference between simply seeing a destination and truly experiencing it — finding the places, flavors, traditions and little moments that make somewhere feel entirely its own. It taught me how much more a trip can be when you go beyond checking sights off a list.
Somewhere along the way, I became the person everyone came to for travel advice. Friends, family, friends of friends — asking where to stay, what not to miss and how to make the most of their time. And I loved planning their trips almost as much as I loved planning my own.
In my heart, I’ve always been a travel planner. Becoming a travel advisor simply made it official.
